International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Tuesday, 12/01/2009 – The Steering Committee on the Status of Woman headed by Mrs. Shosh Sela organized a lecture to the medical center employees. The lecture, titled "Yes to Communication No to Violence" was given by Mrs. Shirit Ben Israel who reviewed the issue of violence in Israel and stressed that it is not enough to mention the subject on one special day but it should be remembered through all 365 days of the year.
The purpose of the lecture was to highlight our society's collective responsibility using good and understanding inter-gender communication together with investing and empowering in both genders and striving towards a world of dignity, respect and freedom of choice.
