Innovation Center at the Barzilai Medical Center

July 16, 2024: The management of the Barzilai medical center celebrated the opening of the new Innovation Center in an exciting ceremony. This is a very first and important step of the journey of the medical center towards being a leading center in the field of medical innovation.

The conference was held with the participation of senior officials from the industry and the academy, including few strategic partners, like the bio-therapeutic greenhouse EHEALTH, the technology institute at Holon (HIT), the greenhouse SUTHUP of the Negev and other entrepreneurs from the Barzilai medical center and from outside the center.

The idea of the establishing the innovation center, led by Prof Levy, the administrative manager, Mr. Cohen Tsachi, Dr. Bergman Tal, the deputy director and in charge of the innovation center, and Dr. Hendin Ofer, the establisher of the innovation center, will create supporting surrounding and special incentives to develop entrepreneurship and innovation in the medical field.

The innovation center will be the core of breakthrough ideas:

The innovation center will be the home of developing breakthrough ideas in the field of medicine, and will promote the cooperation of different medical teams, entrepreneurs, researchers and manufacturers. The center will offer support and special infrastructure to develop new medical technologies, improvement of ongoing medical processes and promotion of novel solutions for the forthcoming health challenges.
