Activity

In the last few years, there has been a progressing trend of surgeries with a short stay in the hospital. Patients are discharged home after few hours of observation. Ambulatory procedures and surgeries gained a lot of success in the world and in Israel and became favorites of doctors and patients as long they meet the strict criteria of quality and safety.

More than 3000 surgical procedures are performed yearly at the Barzilai medical center, some under local, regional and short general anesthesia. Each patient is examined thoroughly for suitability to such ambulatory procedure, and remain for observation after the operation.

We have a preparation room, three operation theatres and a recovery unit with all the necessary monitoring devices.
