Eating disorders, anorexia. Bulimia

Eating disorders are not a lifestyle choice. This syndrome is serious and can be a fatal illness. There is an impulsive occupation with food, body weight, and shape. Common eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder.

A person who develops anorexia nervosa always sees himself fat. Bulimia nervosa is the opposite; there is an urge for eating unusual large quantities of food and feel lack of control over these episodes. People with eating disorders are at high risk for suicide actions

Early diagnosis of these conditions is crucial for success of treatment.
