Hanukkah Miracle – The Barzilai Medical Center is a Tertiary Trauma Center

Health minister and knesset member Uriel Bosso participated in lighting the fifth Hanukkah candle at the Barzilai medical center and during the ceremony he declared formally that the hospital will be from now on a tertiary trauma center and will get extra budget to open neurosurgical and thoracic surgery units. This means that the manpower will be increased to meet the needs of the new units.

The minister stated that he is glad and thrilled to be stand here and to announce this declaration. This decision will empower the hospital, the city of Ashkelon, the Negev and the south of Israel. This is the beginning of minimizing the gap between the peripheries and the center of Israel.
