Activity

The missions of the security officers are:

Ø  Preventing violence against hospital staff and protecting the staff when violent attack occurs

Ø  Protection of the employees and the patients

Ø  Maintaining public order

Ø  Securing the area of the hospital

Ø  Preventing entrance of people with unlicensed weapons

Ø  Identifying and preventing entrance of invaders

Ø  Identifying and preventing entrance of terrorists

Ø  Preventing thieves from stealing patients' properties, cellular phones, etc.

Ø  Implementation of the law prohibiting smoking in the hospital premises

Ø  Securing the area of the hospital during mass events

Ø  Activating the local fire extinguishing teams until the fire extinguishing forces arrive.

Ø  Cooperation with the local police station

Ø  Clearing the hospital wards from visitors after the end of the vising hours

Ø  Searching the hospital buildings for wounded people following the fall of missiles and preventing access to the affected areas.

The medical center has security video cameras all over the wards and the corridors but not inside the patients' rooms. The security center is manned 24 hours and is provided with multiple control screens that enable watching most of the areas of the hospital including the parking areas.

The security men are qualified to hold guns, tear gas and handcuffs, and must pass periodical trainings by the local police officers.
