The legal advisor department serves the Barzilai medical center and the Health Bureau of Ashkelon district.

The legal advisor is available for consultation in different subjects concerning legal issues like questions about signing consent forms, ethical issues, risk management, legal issues concerning the Health Bureau including closure orders of food supply stores, representation of the hospital and the Health Bureau in court discussions and hearings, representation of the hospital in malpractice claims.

The legal advisor lectures constantly to the various personnel of the medical center on legal and ethical issues.
