The medical library after the name of Horatzky was built soon after the establishment of the Barzilai medical center, 60 years ago, but since then, the library was developed and lately the medical library was united with the medical library of the nursing school and transferred to its new location.

The library serves all the staff of the hospital and contains a wide range of books and medical journals (hard copies and through the internet). The medical library is connected to National Institute of Health (NIH), to the Clearinghouse and to the medical library at the University of the Negev to enable searching the global medical literature.

∗ Assisting the staff to search the web for specific subjects.
