President's Award to the Barzilai University Medical Center

Today, the 22nd of May 2024, and during a very touching ceremony, the President of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev presented to the CEO and General Director of the Barzilai University Medical Center in Ashkelon, the Award of Appreciation and Recognition for its uncompromising commitment for the health of the population of the south. It is a symbol of appreciation for the great work of the professionals at the Barzilai medical center.

Prof Levy Hezi, the CEO and general director of the Barzilai University medical center, stated:

"It is a great honor to me and to the employees of the medical center to receive this reward from the president of the Ben Gurion University, along with the CEOs of Soroka and Assouta medical centers. The staff of the Barzilai medical center fought for saving lives of the injured since the 7th of October 2023, and is continuing his struggle to treat and save lives of the patients and the wounded. I am very thrilled for this kind act of Prof Chaymovitch Daniel, the President of the University, and I dedicate this award to the astonishing staff of the medical center, to the hospital military unit and the grouped military hospital registration unit 2. I am very thankful to the staff of the hospital who continues to treat and save patients and wounded with endless dedication".
